What we do
Making Waves is a registered charity which provides support to people aged 18 and over with learning and/or physical difficulties who use the Waves Day Care Centre in Slaithwaite near Huddersfield in West Yorkshire … one of the most pioneering day car centres for disabled people across the UK.
Waves day care centre in Slaithwaite helps people aged 18 and over with learning and/or physical difficulties lead full lives with activities ranging from performing arts and baking to days out and holidays.
It’s one of the most pioneering day care centres in the UK with an amazing ‘can do’ spirit to provide the very best care and quality of life for its members.
The Making Waves charity supports the centre and its members, including providing respite care and overnight breaks when members’ families face a crisis along with essential equipment such as portable hoists and a defibrillator.
