If you are a UK taxpayer the government will add an extra 25% to your donation. If you are unable to make a donation using the JustGiving page you can donate cash or cheques to the Waves Day Care Centre marked for the attention of chairman of trustees Andrew Hirst.
Cheques should be made payable to Making Waves please. If they are made out to Waves only we are unable to bank them.
What are the donations used for?
The money we raise is used to help people with learning difficulties lead full lives by helping them to meet the costs of
- holidays, short breaks and social activities
- day care placements and therapy
- specialist equipment
- respite care and overnight breaks at short notice when their families are in crisis
We also have a longer term aim to build and staff bespoke accommodation in Slaithwaite to help people with learning difficulties live independently.
