We are over the moon to have been publicly voted Local Charity of the Year for the Market Street branch of Sainsburys in Huddersfield. We will be working with Sainsburys to raise funds for Making Waves. We have donation buckets at checkouts for loose change.

We’ve already had a day helping pack bags in store. Rachel Midwood was there; ‘We were helping to put items in people’s bags at the end of tills. We wore our orange T-shirts with  Making Waves on the front so people could see what charity we were raising money for. We were there for a few hours and at the end I was tired but happy. Some people asked us about Waves and I told them it was very good and I enjoy it a lot. We had a donations bucket that people put money into once we’d helped with the packing. We made £500 by the end of the day and I really enjoyed it.’
